Boxy Charm July 2017 |
I've been wanting to subscribe to Boxycharm for awhile, I never really looked into it because I thought shipping to Canada would be too much. In July, I finally decided to try it out. It cost me 33.98 with shipping and exchange and I received 5 products worth over a hundred dollars. I'm subscribed for August and so excited about the sneak peaks that I have seen.
Bareminerals Translucent Powder Duo (42$ Can) Bare Minerals
This duo has a matte side, great for setting the face or under the eyes and a glow side that offers a "natural" glow to the skin. I've actually mixed the two and set my face that was not too glowy and nice. The powder doesn't offer any brightening to the under eye, but it's very light and does a great job.
Blinc Eyeshadow Palette (45$ US) Blinc
I initially thought this was a Boxy Charm exclusive, but I did find it on the Blinc website. These shades are stunning, and I've worn them a few times. I like that it's a small palette, and I can pull out another small matte palette and it won't be too much on my vanity. I love all 5 shades, they really are stunning.
Winkylux Uni-Brow Universal Brow Pencil (12$ US) Winky Lux
I was a little worried that this wouldn't work for me. I have black hair and if it was too warm, it would look funny. It does work well on my brows. The pencil blends well, it isn't too hard or too waxy. I like the angle shape but I do prefer a more precise brow pencil.
Colourpop Hello Kitty Liquid Lip (6$ US) Colourpop
This is a bright lip color, but I haven't tried it out. I think this would work better in the fall. It's really cute and I'm happy it came in the box. It's not an "every day" color for me.
Project Beauty Prep Set Go (32$ US) Project Beauty
This is a nice size bottle of setting mist. I will use this product but won't repurchase. The sprayer is nice, but not great. I have to hold my head back and let it fall down on my face. It doesn't feel sticky and the smell is okay.
Final Thoughts: I was really happy with the July box. All the products can be used and rotated through my collection. I'm so excited for August, we will all be getting the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Palette, Pur Cosmetic's lashes and a Royal and Langnickel brush set. If you want to sign up for Boxy Charm, I do have a referral link! This will give me some money off my next box.
Nice Review! I love reading beauty edits b/c I'm make-up 'challenged' when it comes to brands. lol. Thank you!

ReplyDeleteThat is actually quite a good selection of products, and the Tarte palette in the next box sounds promising as well.

I was soooo tempted to sign up for August to get the tarte palette!! But I somehow resisted. I don't need any new makeup right now as much as I want it!! July's Boxycharm was so good too. They included such great products!
