Maybelline Fit Me, Physicians Formula Liner, and Annabelle Eye Primer |
The Physicians Formula Eyeliner was another disappointing product for me. I had heard Beauty Youtubers saying it was a great alternative to the Kat Von D Trooper liner. It was when I swatched it on my hand, but when I tried to apply it to my eye it hardly showed up. On any shimmer shadow it struggled, and I would have to go over it a few times and it still wasn't as black as I wanted. It seemed like the more metallic the shadow, the harder this was to work me. I wonder if I just got a faulty one? It swatched well on my hand though. I'm sure if you weren't using shadow it would work okay. The brush is nice too.
Annabelle Cosmetics Eye Primer reminded me of my Mac Paint Pot and I wanted to try it and hopefully find an affordable option. I love my Mac Paint Pot in Painterly. It applies very well, stays throughout the day and covers any veins from my brow bone to lid. This Annabelle product is yellow toned. As soon as I tried it, I realized it was much drier than my Paint Pot. I also felt like my shadow didn't blend as well on top even though I set it with a light powder. I don't think I will try this product again.
I haven't tried any of these products and I'll be staying away :) Thanks for sharing x

I like this review. I haven't seen other beauty bloggers criticize brands. It's real!

I personally haven't tried any of these products - but I don't know how to feel about skin foundations... I don't know why, but I have think they don't have as much product to them? I'm probably wrong here, but I shall stick with my liquid foundations for sure!

I've also heard that Physician's Formula liner compared to the Kat von D one, now I'm glad I haven't picked it up myself! Love posts like this x

I haven't tried any of these products, but I've always been wary of stick foundations for fear that they might be really drying. Thanks for sharing these!

I hated the Maybelline foundation stick. It was way too sheer and yet it made me look cakey. I highly recommend the Bobbi Brown foundation stick. Yes it's a lot more expensive but it has better coverage, and gives you a natural, smooth finish. I love it and I've been using it for days when I'm in a hurry but still need something on!

It's sad when you have high expectations for products and they end up disappointing. I have a couple that don't work for me either and I will probably prepare a post soon! x

Oh...I was hoping for good things with the Fit Me stick. I'll wait for a sale then to try it.
ReplyDeleteI tried the eye primer once and also had a not so stellar experience. I think these posts are as important in the beauty world as those raving about our favourites!

Thanks for letting us know! Foundation sticks can definitely be hit or miss. I guess they felt the Fit me line was hot and decided to do that as well. HaHaHa i've never had much luck with physician formula products.
