My first impressions using the sponge was that they expanded very nicely when dampened. They didn't feel too wet when I squeezed out the excess water and were nice and bouncy. The large base blender doesn't feel as dense as the smaller blender. Between the two, the large base blender is my favorite and great for foundation. The smaller sponge didn't work well for me when trying to blend out my concealer. The sponge is more dense and I didn't feel like it was blending very nicely, but absorbing alot of my product. I will use the smaller blender to for powder when needing to create straight lines. It will also work great if I'm applying a liquid highlighter.
Overall, I think these duo sponges are good sponges. I will definitely repurchase for the large blender. It is quite large and blended in my foundation so quick, and easy. I was very impressed with the foundation application. These sponges are vegan, cruelty free and latex free. The Ecofoam material is nice and bouncy but comparing it with my L'Oreal beauty sponge, it is not as bouncy. However, I do prefer the large blender for foundation application.
Have you tried these sponges? What did you think? What is your favorite affordable sponge?
Love this perfector Blender duo..

I've wanted to try this sponge since Tati talked about it! I haven't seen it in stores but if I do, I'll probably pick one up. I like the straight edge. It's something different and I'm sure I could make use of it!
ReplyDeleteI ordered it through Amazon. I haven't seen them in store either.
DeleteI still haven't tried anything from Eco Tools - the large sponge sounds pretty good! xx

It's nice to see that there are more options out there besides Beautyblender. The cost is so high and who can afford buying them all the time. Thanks for your review of these. The large one sounds really good.

I love the Beauty Blender, but boy they are expensive! This does seem like a great alternative and I'll have to check out the large one at the drugstore next time!

I love the beauty blender. I get mine during the holiday time when Sephora releases the favorites sets. I have never tried any other beauty sponges but I want to try this one as well as the L'Oréal one :-)
