Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Vol 2 |
This palette includes 8 shades, 2 matte and 6 shimmers. The formula is different from Tarte's Amazonian clay eyeshadows. It's more cream to powder and denser in the pan. Initially, I found the matte shades to be hard to pick up but I wasn't expecting this cream to powder formula. I had dipped my brush in and had to build the colour but it wasn't really an issue. The shimmers applied well with a small concealer brush but I also went in with my finger and topped it up on my lid. The pigmentation was good, and I do like this palette. It lasted all day without an unusual amount of fading. The formula is not my favourite, but it worked. This palette claims to be crease free, but I don't normally have issues with my eyeshadows creasing.
Tarte always has beautiful packaging, and I really do like the circular palettes. They're easy to store and they feel good in your hand when you're applying your eyeshadows. The pan sizes are very nice and laid out well in the palette. I would like to pick up the first volume. It has more of my every day shades.
Have you tried this palette? What did you think?

The shades are gorgeous! I'm putting myself on a palette ban because I've bought too many recently! xx
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to stick to buying two palettes and that's it this month. I'm hoping to get the Tartelette Toasted and the Morphe 35o 2 palette.
DeleteI love the shades, they're perfect for smokey eyes :)

I had a similar experience with another Tarte palette. I could work with the formula but it wasn't the best! I'm really hankering for the Amazonian Clay palette.
ReplyDeleteThe packaging is just gorge!
