Stila Skin Tone Correcting and Brightening Serum |
This primer has been around for awhile and I was excited at the chance to try it. The triple swirled serum primes, brightens and nourishes the skin. My dry skin does well with the hydration which is my main concern at this time, especially moving into the colder months. If you look at the bottle you see the three color correcting pigments that are designed to even out skin your complexion. When you pump out the serum, all three color correcting pigments are distributed. The green neutralizes redress and conceals blemishes. The purple counteracts sallowness and the peach illuminates and helps diminish the appearance of sun spots. I don't have a lot of redness of my skin, but I've seen Youtubers use this primer and it really does counteract the redness. For my skin, I do see a difference in my sun spots and skin tone.
This product also claims to hydrate, control oil, and diminish the appearance of pores and fine lines. This is the only primer that I've seen with these three color correcting properties. It is not a silicone primer, and absorbs into my skin very quickly. It doesn't feel heavy or thick. If you like a sticky primer, this doesn't dry down tacky. I don't typically have issues with my foundation breaking up, so it's not an issue for me.
I've also noticed that Stila has two other primers, and I'm interested in trying them it out. There is a one step silicon primer, and an illuminating primer. (Images from Stila Cosmetics.) Have you tried either of these One Step Primers? I really do enjoy the One Step Corrector.
Disclaimer: I was provided the One Step Corrector in consideration for review. All opinions are my own.
I have tried some Stila makeup in the past but never their skincare! Sounds like a lovely product, though. Thanks for sharing your thorough review, lovely! xoxo

This looks really interesting! I've never seen a product that mixes together all the different color correctors.

Does this do anything for the skin tone then? I have seen this primer but never tried it.

If you have uneven skin tone like redness, it does counteract it.
DeleteI swatched this at Shoppers the other day because I was so curious about it! I really liked the texture and how it rubbed into the skin. When all my primers are used up or at least close to gone, I will probably look into getting this one!
ReplyDeleteNever heard about this primer yet. Sounds interesting!

I would use One Step Correct way back when I first got into makeup (it was Shaaanxo's favourite, which is why I bought it!) I like how hydrating it is, but haven't used it in years.

I haven't tried anything from Stila but I read great reviews about their products! I don't have much redness but I deal with sun spots.

I have not heard about this primer but it sounds good and will be interesting to use. :-)
ReplyDeleteIf anything, this primer is so aesthetically pleasing! I need all three of those colours, so this would be perfect. Have always heard such good things about Stila as a brand too, very excited to try this one out sometime. xx
