| Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation + Concealer |
The Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation and Concealer was a Sephora VIB purchase and my first Clinique foundation. I've been trying it for a few weeks and wanted to give you my thoughts. This full coverage foundation comes with a large doe foot applicator. If you're familiar with Tarte's Shape Tape, the applicator is very similar. It makes applying the foundation very easy. I'm able to apply a few swipes to each side of my face and blend it out. The applicator makes it very easy to apply. A little goes a long way with this foundation, it is a little on the thicker side. I like to spray my brush with a setting spray before buffing it out. Spraying your brush thins it out a bit. I also enjoying blending it out with a damp sponge. It doesn't feel too heavy on my skin which I was afraid of.
The foundation claims to be a foundation and concealer in one. If you're not looking to use concealer to highlight, this can really work. It covers my dark circles and doesn't crease under my eye. I do have to set this foundation both under my eyes and on my face since it does sink into the fine lines on my forehead but once I set it, it looks fine.
Overall, I really do like the coverage of this foundation. It doesn't look cakey and doesn't break up on my skin throughout the day. Again, a little goes a long way. I have normal to dry skin and this works well for me. I do apply my moisturizer and/or luminizing primer underneath. It's not a complete matte foundation, it does leave a little radiance to the skin. The doe foot applicator is a great addition.

I have oily skin so this wouldn't be for me but Clinique is such a good brand, isn't it? I always hear great things about their products. x

Oh I've heard about this foundation and generally like Clinique products but somehow this product never caught my attention. Since I'm always on the hunt for foundations, I'll have to give this one a try!

I love foundations that don't feel cakey but I have a problem with those that define lines around my lips and eyes, this is my main problem when I try to find a good foundation. Glad it works and you are pleased with it!! xx

This foundation sounds great but having oily skin I try to stay away from dewy ones. Little dewiness is always welcome. When I plan on getting one I will check this one :-)
