Weekly Roundup of Products (Morphe, Annabelle,Becca, Maybelline, Urban Decay, Dior)

Weekly Roundup of Products (Morphe, Annabelle, Maybelline, Urban Decay, Dior)

Hello Friday! It's been a long busy week, and I'm really ready for the weekend. The products above are what I've mostly been using this week. I've purchased quite a few new palettes recently. I thought I would try a weekly roundup of products I've mostly been using throughout the week, it's not necessarily favorites, just what I've been using and testing out.

Base:

I'm still going strong with my Dior Nude Skin Glowing Makeup foundation. I love that I don't have to set this foundation, and it is buildable with a radiant finish. I opt for a light-medium coverage throughout the week. I've also been using my Benefit Brightening Concealer and my It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye concealer. I have actually started using much less concealer and using a brush instead of a sponge to apply my concealer. I've also been using a damp sponge to pick up some translucent powder (Bare Minerals Invisible Light Translucent Powder Duo) and set my under eye. I really like the smooth finish that I get. When I use brushes and powders, I feel like it looks more heavy under my eye area. I decided to try the damp sponge this week, and I really like the technique. Baking does not work for me, it looks really crepey under my eye.

Eyes:

This week I used the Morphe 15 Night Slayer palette and I've really been liking it. I'm a huge Morphe shadow fan, and this palette didn't disappoint. I went back to using the Urban Decay Anti Aging Eyeshadow Primer, and it doesn't accentuate any lines which I do enjoy. I do find that the Yellow Eden primer makes my eyeshadows pop more, but the Anti Aging works well too. I've gone back to putting down the ELF Glitter Primer before packing on my shimmer shadows and they don't budge all day. For mascara, I've been trying the Tarte Lights Camera Lashes and it does an okay job on my lashes. As usual, I use the Annabelle Skinny Mascara for my bottom lashes. I've also been using the Annabelle Brush Tip Liquid Liner- it is very black and easy to use.

Highlighter

This week I tried using a liquid highlighter and layering it with a powder highlighter. I used the Annabelle Liquid Highlighter in Champagne, applied it with my fingers and put the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfectors on top. I purchased the Apres Ski Eye Palette and I've been using it as a face palette. It was on sale and I decided, if I didn't like it for the eyes, I could use it as a highlighter palette. The pans are small but my Becca After Glow Palette is pretty much the same and I still haven't hit pan on any shades. Layering my highlighter has ensured that it stays in place all day.

Brows

I've been using the NYX Tame and Frame brow pomade, and I'm on the fence about it. It's my first pomade so I don't have any others to compare it to but I feel like it should be more creamy. It does apply nice, and stays all day but I feel like the formula is too dry. I know NYX has another one in a tube, I might try that.

Finishing Touches

The Cover FX Illuminating Setting Spray is still going strong. It took me alittle while to get use to the mister but I do like the fine spay. I don't wear lipstick every day, but I've been enjoying the Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick in the shade lover.

I forgot to take a picture of my blush, but I've been using my Tarte Blushed Bazaar palette and sticking to the neutral shades.

  3. Really good products. In 2018, I want to try more foundations. I'll put that Dior one on my list. I've been back & forth as to whether I want the Apres Ski Collection. But it offers so many options.

  8. The NYX one in the tube is harder to work with and looks less natural I used to have it lol. It's similar to MUFE Aqua Brow which I also have and loved at first until I branched out and tried other products. Maybe try Benefit Kabow their pomade is really nice :)

  9. I felt exactly the same about the NYX Tame and Frame pomade - I thought it was going to be creamy and easy to work with, but I found the complete opposite and ended up not liking it for that reason.. 😔
