3 Products I Loved On Vacation (Tarte, Maybelline, It Cosmetics) #Vacationmakeup
Monday, August 6, 2018
While on vacation, these are the three products that I couldn't live without and would pack with me on my next trip. The biggest surprise for me was the Tarte Ladies Night palette which I wasn't originally in love with. I purchased this around Christmas 2017 and thought it was an okay palette, this vacation I couldn't get enough of it. I wore it most days and loved the ease of having the face products with eye shadows in one palette. It allowed me to put together a complete look quickly, and the shades were great for summer. The bronzer, highlighter, and blush I wore even on my "no makeup, makeup" days. The products lasted all day long, and I had no issues with the formula. I believe this was Limited Edition but if you see it available for purchase, I would recommend picking it up.
For my foundation, I wore the It Cosmetics CC Illumination Cream every day. The SPF was very important for me because I spent most days outside with my son, and I didn't worry about my face burning. It has SPF 50 and while my body did get a bit of a sunburn, my face was protected. The Illumination aspect of the foundation was nice as well. I will probably have a full review on this coming soon. For my mascara, I used the Maybelline Total Temptation in waterproof. This mascara got me through my Mom's funeral, the river and the pool. If you need a waterproof mascara, give this one a try. I haven't tried the non waterproof formula, but I will pick it up when I see it at the drugstore. The wand is very nice for separating the lashes but doesn't give a lot of volume. I never fully submerged my face in the pool but it was fine with me getting splashed in the face by my son.
It's interesting to see how your makeup routine changes when you're on vacation. I was looking for quick, easy and these three products were in constant rotation. Tarte does have some other round "all in one" palettes and I wish they came out with more. This palette also smells like vanilla when you open it, and I really did like the smell. My original review can be found here. Have you tried any of these? What did you think?

I got the Illuminating CC cream one time on accident instead of the normal one and it was wayyy too shimmery for me. I exchanged it and I love the normal CC cream, I just haven't used it in a while.

The Illumination cream sounds perfect for summer when I have a little bit of a tan, and the mascara sounds like one I definitely need to try - I get LVLs so I don't have to worry about volume, just staying power. I'm sorry to hear about your mother though, sending love xxx

Yes! Makeup routines do change drastically while on vacation. Since I started traveling more, I started to buy travel size brushes. I don't own too many full size brushes because of that lol

This palette is simple looking yet it is very beautiful when looked closely. Besides we have everything we will need anytime. I would love to have it in my collection. I love the it cosmetics cc cream, but have not tried this one. :-)

In 2007 the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics ran a full page ad in USA today. The ad read "Putting on Makeup Shouldn't be like Playing with Matches" and showed a little girl smearing lipstick on her face. Lip Balm
