Maybelline Total Temptations Eyeshadow + Highlight Palette (Review and Swatches)
Wednesday, August 15, 2018
I've seen the Maybelline Total Temptations Eyeshadow + Highlight palette around since it launched, but I didn't really think much of it. In all honesty, I don't own alot of 'drugstore' eyeshadow palettes. I own alot of affordable palettes, but not ones that I can get at the drugstore. I was provided this palette for review, and I'm happy I gave it a try. I don't think I would have tried this otherwise. These shadows were better than I expected, they're not the most pigmented shadow but they are creamy, blendable, and long lasting.
As you can see, this palette is split in two: one warm side and one cooler side with two highlighters in the middle. The purple shades do have glitter particles, which is not something that I like. The second shade on the left seems to be glitter top coat, I don't get much pay off. I would recommend trying it with a glitter glue. The warmer side appeals to me much more. It was easier for me to work with too. Looking at the two highlighters, I wouldn't wear the purple on my cheekbones, but I did use it as an eyeshadow. These are all powder products, and feel free to use the highlight shades as eyeshadows. The champagne highlighter is nice too, but I usually go for a lighter highlighter.
Now that I've tried this palette. I want to try Maybelline's new Lemonade Craze palette. This palette wasn't the most pigmented palette that I own, but you can work with it and create some nice looks. I would try to buy this palette when you see it onsale. I'm also testing out two City Mini palettes, and will review those too.
