If you've been reading this blog, you will know I'm a fan of Jaclyn Hill and a fan of Morphe. I have quite a few Morphe palette reviews and they really are my most viewed posts. When I first started seeing sneak peeks of this collection, I was so excited to get it. When the launch was pushed back, I patiently waited and ordered it when it finally launched. I am surprised that I don't grab for these palettes as much as I thought I would, and I will get into that a little later. First, the outter packaging on the Vault Collection is just gorgeous and looks much more luxe than the Original Jaclyn Hill X Morphe palette. I love the ribbon in the box which gives you easy access to the palettes, without having to shake them out and I love the subtle color difference that allows you to see which color story is in which palette.
The first palette I started using was the Bling Boss palette, it is filled with reds and browns and for me; it was the most wearable for an every day look. I'm a warm toned lover, but I will say this palette lacks a mid-tone transition shade. The entire palette is very pigmented and very vibrant. I need to pull in a companion palette when using this one. I can use it alone, but it frightens me to be honest. I like to build my color slowly. We've all seen the negative reviews, and Jaclyn's admission of inconsistencies but I don't have any issues with my palette. They blend well, last all day and swatch nicely too.
The Ring the Alarm palette is my favorite of all four palettes. The others a little out of my comfort zone and will be fun to try out. However, it's not something that I want to try out when getting ready for work. That's actually why I haven't been grabbing for these palettes as much. The color stories are so strong and unique that I feel I need to work my way into them. The next palette I test out will probably be the Bling Boss palette. I don't wear alot of purples but I think this will be a fun palette to get me out of my zone. I hear alot of these colors work well with patting the shadow on instead of going straight into blending. I think it will be interesting learning more about these types of colors. That's what is so great about makeup, you can enjoy learning about which technique works best for you. I think these will also be great going into the fall. I'm really looking forward to trying the other palettes.
Did you pick this collection up? What did you think?

So many complained about these palettes, the quality is not consistent and many said it's patchy. Good to know that yours are lovely.

I had plans to get this palette when it was announced initially as I was going to visit US. But it got postponed and I read so many reviews about the inconsistency in the palette. But I am glad you got the good ones.
