Take A Peak In My Work Makeup Bag (Affordable)
Thursday, September 20, 2018
When it comes to my work makeup bag, I keep it affordable and simple. This bag is carried around alot in my work bag, or kept in my desk and tossed back and forth. Typically, I don't touch up my makeup during the day. I like to have some items on hand, if I need to do a touch up or want to add a bit more makeup than I applied that morning. I have dry skin so there's no need to blot or reapply. For the most part, my makeup will fade but not really break down.
For brushes, I think it's great to have small travel brushes. I have a Luxie Beauty Eye Brush Set from a past Boxycharm and I also have two smaller Quo travel brushes. They fit well into an older Ipsy bag that I have. I like this bag because it is small and can easily be wiped down. For eyeshadow, the Sleek Storm palette has been what I keep in the bag. It has nice neutrals and a great variation of mattes. The palette is also hard plastic and durable, with a mirror. In addition, I have a Rimmel Scandaleyes Kohl Kajal and a Physician's Formula liquid liner. These are helpful because throughout the day, I might need to touch up my eyes. Lash glue is a must if you do wear lashes. The Kiss brush tip applicator glue is great for on the go.
Samples in my makeup bag are also great. I have a Tarte Camera Lashes mascara, and a Tarte Highlighter. Using these samples, still keeps those products affordable, and if they break- it's not a big deal. Essence has some great affordable blushes and a peachy blush is usually what I go for in the fall. I would switch this to a more neutral blush in summer. I do keep a Maybelline Fit Me Concealer, it's a favorite from the drugstore. Last but not least, a few lip products. The ELF Tea Rose is great. I love a mauvy neutral color. I also really like the NYC City Proof Intense Lip Color in River Rose. It feels like a balm with a tint and I wear it most days.

I love that Sleek Storm palette! I recently pulled it out of a drawer and started using it again. The shades are so gorgeous!
