Rimmel London Magnif'eyes Crimson palette (Review and Swatches) Urban Decay Cherry Alternative

The Rimmel London Magnif'eyes Crimson palette caught my eye at the drugstore and I decided it was time to give their shadows a try. This palette reminded me of the recent Urban Decay Cherry palette. I don't buy alot of eyeshadow at the drugstore but this palette really surprised me. The color scheme has been really fun to wear this fall season.

Rimmel London has 6 palettes in the Magnif'eyes range. I believe Crimson is the newest release. I noticed them in my drugstores a few weeks ago. They each have 12 shades in the same plastic packaging. Swatching these shadows they feel dry, but they perform well on the eyes. I was really surprised by how much I enjoyed this palette. They build very nicely, and I don't have any issues with lasting power. The shimmer shades are nice but not as metallic as I prefer. I spray the shimmers as I do with all my shimmer shades. It does come with a dual ended small sponge applicator and brush. I don't keep those but it didn't look too useful when creating an eyeshadow look.

Now that I've tried this palette, I would like to try more from Rimmel. They have a Spice version that looks like the Urban Decay Naked Heat palette. It might be a nice affordable alternative. I've been into pinks and berries this season and the Crimson palette really excited me when I used it. I think it's great for beginners too. It has enough mattes and shimmers to give you a variety of options. Have you tried this palette?

  1. As soon as I saw it, I thought of Naked Cherry too and I think if you like the Cherry shade selection but don't think it would be a palette you'd use regularly, this would be the better option! xx

  2. This is a really pretty palette but I'm not trying not to get any more berries/pinks in my collection since they don't look the best on me. If they make a palette with purples/greens/grays I'm on it!
