When I was new to makeup and building my collection, I frequently purchased from BH Cosmetics. It's been awhile since I picked up anything, not because of negative experiences just that I was trying other brands. The Desert Oasis was around the beauty community, and I heard so many positive things about this palette. Influencers were saying that it was their best formula to date, and I really wanted to give it a try. 

First, looking at the palettes it's neutral with some pops of blue. It's not a palette I would immediately gravitate towards because I have alot of neutrals. However, I do wear alot of neutrals and thought this palette would get used. It also has pans that can be used for highlighters, and I really like a good highlighter. It has 5 mattes, 14 shimmers and 5 highlighters. That's alot for an affordable palette. The mattes blend really well, and the shimmers are stunning! If you don't wear alot of color, but like to try it out, this is a fun palette to test out. The blues are gorgeous! I also really like Cactus and Prickly Pear, they're both fun neutrals. Heat Haze is a gorgeous copper shade. I will say, I wish it has a warmer chocolate brown shade. The one darker color is a bit too cool for me, it wears nice but I would rather a warmer dark brown. 

The highlighters also were also very nice on the skin. I had to buff them in well but they really looked beautiful on the skin. I tried some BH highlighters before and it was hit or miss, so I was happy with this one. The darker highlighters, I used for shadows and they were beautiful on the lid. 

If you've been curious about this palette and didn't know if the hype was deserved; I do recommend it. It's not a perfect palette in my eyes, but it is great and not just because it's affordable. It can stand up to my higher end palettes in terms of quality. I can see myself using this alot in the summer when I want easy neutral looks.
