It's winter, it's very cold outside and my skin tends to get dry. It has been doing much better this winter because I have a skincare routine in place. When it comes to my complexion, I was looking for radiance and hydration. This winter, I found a great selection of products that I've been really enjoying. As usual there's a mix of drugstore and higher end products.
The first step in my routine is the Stila One Step Correct Primer. This primer is one that I tend to go back to, it feels hydrating and smooth on the skin. It also help with color correcting, if that's something that you're looking for. If you don't need the color correcting, don't let that deter you from trying this primer. This is one of my favorite primers and I don't need the color correcting. The Bourjois City Radiance was a foundation that I used in the summer for a little bit, but since I've gone back to it this winter; I've been enjoying it even more. It has a medium buildable coverage, it's very easy to blend into the skin with a sponge and I'm left with a natural glowy skin. I powder it with the Milani Prep Set and Glow pressed powder which is transparent but doesn't mattify the skin. It keeps the radiance and doesn't look powdery on the skin.
For my under eyes, I keep going back to the Benefit Boing Brightening Concealer in Number 1. This helps to cancel out the darkness under my eyes. It holds up very well throughout the day and works well with other concealers. I've been trying to use up my Revolution Fast Base concealer and using the Benefit really helps because this isn't a very full coverage concealer. It's not my favorite concealer, I do like the Conceal and Define better but it does work and I want to use the products that I purchase. To set my under eyes, I'm trying the NYC Smooth Skin transparent powder. It doesn't look heavy or accentuate my fine lines, I really enjoy this power and it's very affordable which is great.
I love that primer! Boing is a concealer I've been meaning to try buy haven't yet! xx
