Does this palette look familiar? I don't own the Huda Beauty Rose Gold palette but it looks like a dupe to me. I'm sure formulas are different. I purchased this palette to see how I felt about Rude Cosmetics, I haven't heard much about this brand. They're a US-based company founded in 2016. They strive to provide high-quality products at "comfortable" prices. They've really caught my eye after trying out this palette.
This palette is called "Too Much Drama" and it claims to have "a magnificent combination of highly saturated and each to blend mattes, chromes and metallics." If you know me, you know I loved foiled, highly shimmery lid shades. I was intrigued by this chrome formula. Confession: I cannot do an all matte look, I honestly feel so lost when trying to create a look without shimmer. The first time I tried this palette, I realized that it was PIGMENTED. A little powdery- the shadow likes to spread out. You really need a small amount of product and tap off your brush. It doesn't make it complicated to use, just be mindful of how much you are picking up. The shimmers are gorgeous. Cat Fight, High Maintenance and So Fech are my favourite shades. That Extra doesn't swatch well but on top of glitter glue looks amazing. As for the chrome claim, I'm not sure which shades are supposed to be chrome. They're all metallic to me, maybe That Extra shade could be the chrome formulation. It's crumbly to the touch but works well.
I've tried my fair amount of affordable eyeshadow palettes and they can be hit or miss. often, the mattes are my problem because they fade on me. I didn't have this problem with the Too Much Drama palette. They have repackaged this palette, which I do like. The one I have has clear plastic over the front and doesn't seem as sturdy as the new packaging.
Again, I don't own the Rose Gold palette and I wasn't really tempted to purchase it for 85$. These shades are not that unique to me, but when I saw this palette I was happy to have an alternate version. I do enjoy high-end palettes but I have an extensive palette collection and often my high-end palettes don't get the attention they should have for the price. This Rude Cosmetics palette was a great find, and I'm happy to own it. I would love to try more products from the brand. They have a nice variety of products and most of them don't seem to be dupe products. I have my eye on the Tokyo (purple palette) and Black Jack Mean Girl (Pink) palettes. They also have face products, lip products and skincare.
Update: I see Rude Cosmetics has updated the packaging on this one. This can be found on Amazon, linked below.
Wow! It's nice to hear that this is pigmented too, no need for the Huda palette!

I'm not a fan of brands ripping off other brand's products - create similar, by all means, but don't copy details and layout! I appreciate that it's more affordable but that really puts me off! xx

I can understand that especially when the layout is exactly the same. I checked their site and don’t see any other “dupe” palettes and they have since changed the packaging on this one.
DeleteLook like a nice palette :) I have the first edition of Huda Beauty palette. I think Bad Habit have a great dupe for it too. I bough way to many palettes from shop hush recently LOL

I own the Huda desert dusk palette and the nudes palette plus some of the obsession ones which I'm obsessed with. Their rose gold palette never appealed to me. This brand sounds interesting, I'll have to check out their eye shadow palettes, I'm a palette junkie. x
