Makeup Revolution launched four new popular Reloaded palettes, and the hypnotic palette caught my eye immediately. I thought it looks like a dupe for the Anastasia Beverly Hill Sultry Palette and the new Urban Decay Naked Reloaded. I don't own either of those palettes but the colour story looks really similar. The Sultry palette was limited edition and no longer available so this might be a nice replacement. I own quite a few of the Reloaded palettes and they have been hit or miss for me, but this palette seems to be stepped up in terms of formula.
This palette has 7 mattes and 8 shimmery metallic shades. The shimmers are very pretty, pick up very easily and the reflect is gorgeous. I was very impressed with the shimmers. The mattes perform much better than the swatches look. They're pigmented and very nice. The light metallic shade that didn't swatch well, is a topper shade and it looks great when added on top with your finger. This is a great neutral cooler toned palette which the market doesn't have as many options available. In terms of mattes, I did feel like I didn't have that many options because you have your transition shades and only the dark brown or black to add dimension. All my looks turned out smokey but I didn't mind.
If you were curious about this palette, I'd say go for it. I'm really happy with this purchase and see myself using it quite a bit. I really like the coral shade and it's making me want the new Urban Decay Naked Reloaded palette as well. Packaging is the same as the other Reloaded palettes. I think Makeup Revolution has improved on the formula for these palettes. I ordered the Blueish/Green Deep Dive palette because I was so impressed with this palette.

The shade selection is definitely pretty similar to Sultry, which is a palette that I love! xx

Is revolution beauty the same at makeup revolution? Or are they different brands?
ReplyDeleteGreat review! I have the UD Naked Reloaded palette and love it.

Same brand, they're renamed a few times. It was Makeup Revolution, Tam Beauty, and now Revolution Beauty. You still see Makeup Revolution in some of their branding.
DeleteI love the maybelline reloaded palettes! I own newtrals 2, velvet rose and iconic fever and love them all! This particular one doesn't have a shade range that appeals to me but the formula of these shades is unbelievable for the price. x

I love a good dupe and this palette looks nice. Makeup Revolution is coming up with some excellent products. I wish it was easily available for me, like at the drugstores :-)
